In her work for the New Mexico movement newspaper, El Grito del Norte, Rini provided illustrations like this for children's stories that the paper ran every issue. The stories, prepared by young movement leader Valentina Valdes, reflected the culture and traditions of Spanish speaking people in the Southwest.
