In the spirit of Rini Templeton's life and work, activists serving causes that Rini would have supported are invited to use drawings freely in their leaflets, newsletters, banners and picket signs or for similar non-commercial purposes. Those wishing to use drawings in the production of an item for sale, such as a book, should write to the:
Rini Templeton Memorial Fund
c/o Elizabeth Martinez
3545 24th Street
San Francisco, CA 94110
A reasonable fee will be asked, to help maintain this web-site.
This website is set up for users to download Rini's images, as long as users meet the guidelines above. To browse through the image library, which houses 600 of Rini's images, click on the "Image Library" button above. A set of categories will appear. Click on the desired category to browse through the images before downloading.
To download an image, click on the image itself. Most images come with descriptions explaining their context. Please take the time to read about these images to better understand how Rini came to draw them. Some are generic images of places and people she saw. Others illustrate people's lives and struggles in which she participated. The images are best downloaded in the Bitmap TIFF format, which are high resolution versions of the images. All the images are in high resolution Bitmap format. When you click on the link that reads "Bitmap/TIFF", a window will pop up asking you where to save this file.
If a window DOES NOT pop up, follow these instructions:
PC Users: Hold down your Right Click button on your mouse as you click on the "Bitmap/TIFF" link. Your computer will ask you how and where you want to save the image. Please note that all images are named with numbers.
Mac Users: Hold down your Option button as you click on the "Bitmap/TIFF" link. Your computer will begin downloading the image. Please note that all images are named with numbers.
NOTE: Images are named with numbers. For example, "05396_62_62.tif"
