In January, 1977, Rini traveled to Panama, where she illuminated another Latina American reality, this time a world of semif-tropicl poverty and exploitatino, Afro-Panamanian cultural influenes, U.S. militarism and the Canal,and popular support for natinalist President Omar Torrijos.
